Just posted, the new MnDOT Minnesota State Rail Plan. We certainly welcome our members and friends input. We will analyze the plan over the coming weeks and get our feedback to MnDOT. All aboard! The Minnesota State Rail Plan is ready for your review and comments
MnDOT is seeking your input on the final draft of the Minnesota State Rail Plan. Updating the State Rail Plan is a statutory requirement that builds on policy from previous state rail plans and incorporates extensive statewide engagement efforts. The comments received during the comment period will be considered to guide final edits to the plan, which shapes the future of Minnesota’s rail infrastructure and investments.
The plan envisions the future of Minnesota’s freight and passenger rail services and policy over the next 20 years. The plan describes the importance of freight and passenger rail to Minnesota’s economy and personal/individual mobility. It also identifies key trends, investments to develop Minnesota’s transportation system and ways to support the movement of people and goods throughout the state, surrounding region, and country.
